Tollywood Megastar Konidala Siva Sankara Vara Prasad who is popularly known with his screen name Chiranjeevi is celebrating his 58th birthday today. He was born on 22nd August, 1955 in Mogalturu, West Godavari to Konidela Anjana Devi and Konidela Venkat Rao. He is pretty interested in acting right from his childhood. He completed his intermediate in C.S.R.Sarma College. After his graduation in Commerce, he joined the Madras Film Institute in 1976. After his training, he debuted the film industry with the film “Punadirallu” in 1978 but his second film “Pranam Kareedu” was released earlier than his first film. “Manavoori Pandavulu” which was directed by creative genius Bapu fetched immense recognition to Chiranjeevi. He starred in the lead roles in the film “Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya and Abhilasha” which elevated his status to a star hero. Without looking back, he enthralled audience with his unique style of acting along with spell bounding steps in songs and created a page for himself in the Tollywood film history by achieving majority of super hit films in his career. Honouring his ability, Film fare magazine quoted Chiranjeevi as 'Bigger than Bachchan' and another magazine Week quoted him as 'The New Money Machine'. In 2008, he started his political career by establishing a new party named Prajarajyam Party. In 2009 elections he won 18 seats in Andhra Pradesh State Assembly. He was elected as Member of State Assembly from Tirupati. On Feb 6th, 2011, Chiranjeevi merged the PRP into Indian National Congress. He went on to become Union Tourism Minister and is trying his best to attract foreign tourism. His social services with his Chiranjeevi blood bank and eye bank is well known.
