Vishal who once created sensation with Pandem Kodi in Tollywood failed to keep up the momentum though came with good performance in films like Vaadu Veedu. Now he is teaming with Suseendhran of Naa Peru Shiva fame. Let us see Vishal entertained in Palnaadu.
Story Line
Palnadu region is reputed for bold men and courageous people. However Shiva Kumar (Vishal) grows up like a timid boy. He lives with his brother who is married and father Kalyana Sundaram(Bharatiraja). Siva stays away from fights and avoids involving in any of those kind as he feels his peaceful life will be disturbed by those things. Siva even falls in love with school teacher Malathi(Lakshmi Menon) who happens to be his tenant. Siva's brother a mining engineer objects to a goon Katam Ravi who is out on illegal minining exeeding the Govt permit. This results in Ravi killing Shiva's brother with in front of his father. Kalyana Sundaram vows to exact revenge. How Kalyana Sundaram seeks his revenge and will Shiva help his father or not should be found out on silver screen.
Star Shine
Vishal cameout with routine performance. There is nothing extraordinary in his acting.One gets a feeling that he lacked right expressions and feelings required for the role. May be routine mass entertainers are spoiling him. Bharatiraja peformed well but his role didnot get elevated. Lakshmi Menon impress all as a traditional beauty. However she didnot get chance to showcase her talent. Others did accordingly.
Analysis
Suseendhran came with routine story. except for the first half an hour there is nothing in the film. Everything turns predictable. One wonders how Vishal is signing such inept stories. Suseendran didnot come with any novelty in narration and with poor screenplay and direction, he didnot offer much for the actors to perform. The film lacks comedy, heroine's glamour adding to the woes of the movie lovers.
Technicals
Production values are good.Cinematography of Madhi (Mirchi fame) is extraordinary He added pep to the film. Imman's music is good. He earlier entertained with his music in Gajaraju. Background score is good. Shashank Vennelakanti's dialogues are not that powerful didnot do justice to the film.
