Renowned Tollywood actress Anjali Devi passed away today leaving all tear filled. Anjali was unwell for quite sometime and was recieving treatment in a private hospital. Born on 24th Aug,1927 in Peddapuram, Anjali Devi made her debut in Raja Harischandra in the year 1936. Anjali spellbound people in more than 500 films and some of her master pieces include Suvarnasundari kadha, Keelu Gurram, Lava Kusa, Sri Krishna Tula Bharam, Anarkali, Chanchu Lakshmi and many more.she also acted in many tamil and kannada films.

She received the Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2005 for her lifetime service to the Telugu film industry.

She was conferred the Ramineni Award in 2006 in the fine arts category.
She received the prestigious ANR National Award in 2008.
