With his previous film Baahubali: The Beginning earned both commercial success and highest honours, SS Rajamouli is unarguably one of the most sought-after directors in India now.
Rajamouli, who is on a break from the shoot of Baahubali sequel, made it to New Delhi to receive the National Award for Baahubali. Before receiving the 63rd National Award for the Best Feature Film, Rajamouli spoke to media where he said that he is "not interested" in Hollywood yet and said he rather would like to tell the stories of more Indian kings. Citing the names like Kings Ashoka, Akbar and Maharana Pratap, Rajamouli said that he's greatly inspired by the stories told by his grandmother.
"The stories of Indian history and the country's grandness inspired me a lot. Back then, I didn't know that I'd be a filmmaker. But yes, the stories stayed with me for long," said Rajamouli.
When asked about his next projects, keeping the news under wraps, Rajamouli gently replied, "As of now, I've Baahubali: 2 to offer."
